ALL INDIA VIDYA NIKETAN DIAMOND JUBILEE MEMORIAL ENGLISH DEBATE

The 4th All India Vidya Niketan Diamond Jubilee Memorial English Debate on the topic “ Economic and Financial Condition Should Be The Criteria For Reservations And Not The Castes” was held in the afternoon in M.P. Rose Hall of the school on 31st of August-07. 13 schools from allover the country took part in it. The Chief Guest for the debate was Commander. V.S.Banga (Retd), the principal of Mann Public School , N. Delhi . Principal  welcomed the Chief Guest. Ms Devika Sangwan, Dr Ombir Singh and Dr. Umesh Dhayani of B.I.T.S. Pilani judged the views for or against the motion put forth by the participants of the debate. Rahul Jain was the secretary of the debate. The judges were invited at the end to give their valuable suggestions about the topic and the performance of the speakers. The convener of the debate Mr. A K Tyagi presented the results.

The running trophy of the debate for the session 2007-08 was bagged by Scindia School Boys Gwalior.

The Chief Guest honored the judges of the debate with the school memento each. The principal BPS presented a school memento to the Chief guest. In his message to the teachers and the students of the school Cdr Banga stressed on the equality of the all types in the society and said no one should be discriminated against on the basis of region, religion or the caste or clan.
