Celebration of Shri Krishana Janmashtami

 Shri Krishna Janmashtami, the Birthday of Lord Krishna is an auspicious day for Hindus. To embibe  the religious spirit and know our rituals the curriculum of our school included  jhanki competition  on this day, keeping in mind the objective of ‘play way’ method. To mark the importance of the day the blooms of junior section projected different colourful Jhankis .To name a few

  1. Jhanki showing childhood memories of Kanha in which Sonali became Yashoda maiyya and Anshul became Kanha.
  2. Kalia Nag Jhanki depicting the dance of Lord Vishnu on the hood of nag.
  3. Vishnu Avtar Jhanki in which Shantanu was in full attire.
  4. Jhanki showing Govardhan Parvat being picked by Lord Krishna on his little finger thereby saving the people from the fury of rain.
  5. Jhanki showing the importance of  food ‘ Ek ann ka dana dega such manmana’
  6. Vishnu Shayan Shaiya shown by Abhishek ,Tejan and Deeptanshu.
  7. Cheer Haran Jhanki by Umang ,Harshit and Karanveer.
 
The event was witnessed by Col.V N Ratnakar Director BET, Staff with their family members and localities of Pilani.
 
Being a BET Jhanki competition it was judged by
1  Mr  Nagraj Sharma [Retd. Sr. faculty member]
2  Ms. Sangeeta Sharma [BITS]
3  Mr. V N Dhaulakhandi [Director Birla Museum]
