A report on the
Inter Institutional Patriotic Song Competition
The Inter
Institutional Patriotic Song Competition 2009 was held in M.P.Rose
Hall at 5.00 pm. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Dr. P.S.
Bhatnagar, Director, B.K.B.I.T. The judges for the competition were
Dr. V.N.Dhaulakhandi, Director, Museum, Mr. S.K.Pareek, Professor,
Saboo College and Mr. Anil Roy, Department of Music, B.I.T.S
respectively. Eight schools participated in the competition. There
were three residential schools whereas five were non residential.
The Chief Guest and the judges were duly welcomed by col. V.N.
Ratnakar, Director, B.E.T and Principal Col. D.Choudhury
respectively. The participants of all the schools left no stone
unturned to impress the judges as well as the audience by singing
their respective songs with great fervour and enthusiasm along with
bubbling patriotic feelings. The judges after listening to the songs
with great interest placed Shishu Vihar, Bal Niketan and Hari Devi
Jhutha Ram on first, second and third positions respectively among
the non residential schools. Among the residential schools the
first, second and third positions were given to Birla Public School,
Birla Balika Vidyapeeth and Birla Senior Secondary School
respectively. The Chief Guest addressed the audience and praised the
efforts of the participants for creating a patriotic environment on
the eve of Independence Day. He was given a memento by the Director,
Col. V.N.Ratnakar as a token of love and remembrance. The vote of
thanks was proposed by Dr. A.S.Nehra.
