House Organization

Care for the Individual Boy
In a boarding school it is possible to place a greater emphasis on care for the individual than can normally be feasible within the limited time available to a day school. Every boy is helped to develop to his potential. Work is monitored carefully and extra help is given where necessary. The many activities on offer, often in the evenings and at weekends, enable all boys to develop interests and skills. We do not aim to produce a type but rather a well rounded individual who shows both a determination to do things well together with courtesy and consideration for others.
There is a great range of activities available to occupy boys in the evenings and weekends so no boy should ever be bored. Many of the School's facilities are open during these times, including the Sports Centre, Art Centre, Library and Computing suites. In addition there are organised outings every weekend and expeditions and field trips every term.
We aim to teach pupils self-discipline. Standards of behaviour are expected to be high. Those who misbehave may lose some freedoms or privileges for a period of time. But the emphasis within the School is on encouragement. We expect our boys to do well and we take every opportunity to congratulate and reward them. High expectations and a culture of praise are, we believe, central to the success of our pupils.
The School has a carefully planned personal, social and health education programme called The Way of Life course. Our pupils attend this course together with girls from other local independent schools.

All the Hostels & Dining Halls of the three sections of the school are centrally Air Cooled with 100% Generator backup.

Sr. Section (Houses)

In the Senior Section, the students are divided into six Houses VIZ. Kanad, Panini, Vashistha, Vyas, Katyayan & Patanjali House. Every House has its separate building to accommodate 60 students. The Housemasters’ quarters are adjacent to each House. The study and common rooms are on the ground floor while the dormitories and bathrooms are on the first floor. Senior students are provided with well-furnished independent cubicles. The common study room is also well furnished. They study and work under the supervision of the Housemaster. In Senior Houses, the students have to look after themselves. They are given responsibilities such as of Prefects, Captains and Monitors. Efforts are made by the Housemasters to make each boy shoulder some responsibility.

Every House, consisting of four dormitories has the capacity of 80 to 90 students. Every dormitory provides accommodation for twenty boys with attached bathrooms. Apart from this, there is a study room in which all the boys study during study time.   Teachers of all subjects visit the house as per their duties and supervise the studies. Besides, there is also a beautiful common room in which the boys enjoy in their leisure time with indoor games like Chess, Ludo and Table Tennis etc.  There is also the facility of library books and music in the common room. The House Master & Assistant House Master reside in the house itself to look after the boys all the time. A house attendant is also given a room attached to the house and is easily available as per the need. In total each and every Faculty Member of the house strives very hard to make the boys feel at home and create a healthy and conducive environment for the all-round development of the students.
