Teacher's
Day
“A teacher is just like a
candle who tits himself to give lights to others.” As
teachers day arrives on 5th Sept. every year ,
all the students gear up to give a tribute to their
teachers. A teacher is a person who guides his students
through path of life and knowledge. It is a teacher, who
introduces a student to the vast world of knowledge. A
teacher can not only build a students career but can also
teach him good values so that he becomes a better citizen.
So, it is important to give tribute to such a person who is
so important in our life. Teachers day is celebrated on the
birthday of Dr. Sarvapalli Radha Krishan who was also a
teacher in his life time and then as our President. He
taught Indian the lesson of Culture & respecting our own
traditions & philosophy. It is celebrated all over the
country.
This day was also celebrated
in our school with full enthusiasm & joy. Students of XII
Class were appointed as acting teachers & they were gien
responsibilities & power to act as teacher for the day.
The day began with the
morning assembly which was well organised by the acting
teachers. After the assembly, the classes began and the
acting teachers supervised the classes. The teachers taught
their respective subjects & share their knowledge &
experience which also included jokes enjoyment in between.
The classes combined till 4th period . After
that a symposium was organised on the topic “Collaborative
learning” for teachers & Sr. boys . In this Dr. A.S. Nehra ,
Mr. S.N. Swarankar , Mr. Y.K. Kulshreshtha & Mr. Gaurav
Dubey gave talk covering various aspects of proper learning
in the end our Principal Col. D. Choudhury, concluded the
symposium & thanks the guest & others present & asked the
teachers to bring a change in the process of teaching i.e.
to shift the teacher centered learning to learner centered.
After special lunch & rest,
we had the most awaited cricket match between staff &
acting staff. Both the teams played well & it proved to be
a very close match with the victory runs scored on the last
ball . The staff team won the match by 4 wickets. The match
was thoroughly enjoyed by all. In the evening a cultural
programme was organised by the students for the teachers.
The students presented a variety of programme. The programme
presentation of “Nursery Rhyme” by Jr. Section students was
appreciated by all .
After the programme, a dinner
was organised by Class XII students for all the staff
followed by distribution of gifts as a taken of love.
